“NAMASTE”
A weekend Yoga retreat. That’s what they decided to turn Joshua Tree Oasis and Sorriso Da Terra into. Now they felt the call to practice a weekend of mindfulness and peace, holding rejuvenating poses of Uttanasana and Vinyasa in one of the most extraordinary desert hideaways of all.
Joshua Tree Oasis and its sister vacation lodging, Sorriso Da Terra, offered five-star luxury tucked inside a landscape of unrivaled desert beauty. This was where all eight of them could stretch easily into a Sun Salutation in complete comfort unencumbered by the shoulder-locking tension they had left behind in stressed-out work cubicles and jaw-clenching traffic jams. Together they inhaled the sweet desert breath and listened to the exquisite sounds of pine trees and Yuccas swaying.
They stretched into delicious Garudasana and Ardha Chandrasana poses after savoring sumptuous Vegan feasts prepared joyfully in the state-of-art Joshua Tree Oasis kitchen. While the roaring fire crackled in the fireplace, they chanted the Om Shanti in a circle of joyful serenity and later relaxed into the Downward Facing Dog and Cobra poses while curious lizards skittered across the deck and a silent bobcat watched from a cactus-lined path beyond.
At night, under a sky thick with the dazzle of low-flying comets and stars within a Moon Salutation’s reach, they eased into the steamy jets and foamy bubbles in the generous outdoor Jacuzzi. All eight of them laughing together in this magical homage to health and happiness. This, indeed, was Namaste. Om!
