Bobcats, Sun and Rain Make Life Better

Posted by pmycroft under: Guests' Reviews.

Just wanted to thank you for another enjoyable stay at your Joshua Tree Oasis home.

On our first full day, the driving rain actually afforded us the opportunity to enjoy the home more fully, watching through the large windows as the low clouds and rain rolled through the pass providing some great photos.

JTO is a Honeymooner’s Paradise

Posted by mjohnson under: Cara's Corner; Guests' Reviews.

The brochures were glutting their mailbox. The eblasts were pulsing like veritable online word-bombs. How in the world did the world find out so fast that they were getting married?

Everyone was beckoning them with tantalizing cruises, kayak races and tours to everything from Machu Picchu to Patagonia—all shouting out the best and sexiest and most adventurous way for lovers to honeymoon. They considered them all. The Caribbean to Cancun. New Zealand to New Mexico. Iceland to Ireland. But when they stopped for a moment and took a breath and looked into each other’s eyes, the answer was right before them. Joshua Tree Oasis. The most beautiful desert vacation retreat this side of Nirvana.

Updated Calendar and Reservations

Posted by pmycroft under: JTO News.

HomeAway

We recently switched to a new calendar availability system, which we hope will make it easier to see what dates are available and send an inquiry.

We have adjusted our website to accommodate this and make life simpler by removing the old blog-based calendar and combining the Rates and Reservations pages into a new Rates & Payments page.

HomeAway provides a great way for us to easily manage reservations and keep the property fully-booked.

Aside from making our life easier (hey, we have to think of ourselves sometimes), it provides a service which we feel is more in line with what we offer. These days, it’s all about efficiency on the internet; people want to find what they are looking for quickly and easily then perform an action with the least amount of effort.

After all, that’s what the Joshua Tree Oasis is all about, right?

A Wonderful Time!

Posted by mjohnson under: Guests' Reviews.

Dear JTO,

Tomorrow morning we’ll be on our way.  It’s hard to believe we’ve been here at JTO for a week.  It went by so fast.  And then on another level, I feel like I’ve been here forever–like the rocks.  I drew and wrote in your guestbook. But I thought I’d thank you this way, too.  We, like so many before us, had a wonderful time.  The setting of your house and the house itself are spectacular.  The Wireless worked splendidly–fast and hitch-free. Thank you for keeping it so well and sharing it.

The moon is soon to rise–time to turn off the lights and take my rapt position in your living room looking east.

“NAMASTE”

A weekend Yoga retreat. That’s what they decided to turn Joshua Tree Oasis and Sorriso Da Terra into. Now they felt the call to practice a weekend of mindfulness and peace, holding rejuvenating poses of Uttanasana and Vinyasa in one of the most extraordinary desert hideaways of all.
